Bahrain Duty Free reports +17% growth in 2024 net profit despite Q4 decline
For the full year ended 31 December, the retailer’s net profit reached BD5.015 million (US$13.3 million).


BAHRAIN. Bahrain Duty Free Shop Complex recorded a +17% rise in net profit in 2024, with the figure reaching BD5.015 million (US$13.3 million).
However, the company noted a slowdown in the fourth quarter, with net profit falling -41.1% year-on-year, totalling BD344,327 (US$913,600).
The company attributed the decline to impairments related to property and land.
For the full year ended 31 December, the retailer’s income surged +44.3%, reaching BD3.4 million (US$9.14 million).
Profits from investments for the year totalled BD6.05 million (US$16.06 million), reflecting a +17.7% increase.
Shareholders equity during the year was BD43.5 million (US$115.4 million) up +2.1% year-on-year, while total assets value dipped -1.9%, reaching BD43.87 million (US$116.43 million).
Bahrain Duty Free Shop Complex Chairman of the Board Abdulla Buhindi said he was pleased to have achieved “remarkable success” in the past year, noting the significant increase in profits.
Looking ahead, he conveyed a positive outlook, attributing it to the company’s effective investment management and improving business confidence.
