Award-Winning Sci-Fi Horror Game Is Under $10 on PS Store

The PlayStation Store is always full of surprises in terms of some of the deals players may find. From Zelda-inspired adventures, to hit ShakPGs, there is always a solid game available at a fairly hefty discount. This includes an award-winning sci-fi horror game based on a beloved film franchise.

Alien: Isolation is 75% off on the PS Store right now

At this very moment, Alien: Isolation is just $7.49 on the PS Store. This is a 75% discount from its typical $29.99 price tag. Interested players will want to hurry on nabbing this offer as it will only be available at this price until March 13.

“Discover the true meaning of fear in Alien: Isolation, a survival horror set in an atmosphere of constant dread and mortal danger,” reads the description. “Fifteen years after the events of Alien, Ellen Ripley’s daughter, Amanda enters a desperate battle for survival, on a mission to unravel the truth behind her mother’s disappearance.”

Alien: Isolation was received pretty decently when it launched back in 2014. On the review aggregate site Metacritic, it holds an average score of 79 across 50 critic reviews. Much of its praise is due to its audio and visual design. It does a great job of accurately portraying the atmosphere of an Alien film. However, it was criticized for its pacing, and storytelling.

Creative Assembly did receive awards for its work on Alien: Isolation including Best Audio at the 15th Game Developers Choice Awards, Audio Achievement at the 11th British Academy Games Awards, and four awards pertaining to sound, visuals, and engineering at the 14th National Academy of Video Game Trade Reviewers Awards.
