Anomaly Horror Returns With ‘Captured II’ Later This Year [Trailer]

Puck Redflix is back with their follow-up to their 2024 anomaly-hunting horror title Captured with the sequel, Captured II, which is set for a Q4 2025 release on Steam. The  anomaly horror game “with a survival horror twist” sees players once again trapped in their apartment, facing an endless hallway while surviving deadly entities.

Inspired by analog and found footage horror movies such as Skinamarink, liminal spaces, and early 2000s supernatural horror, Captured II puts players in the role of Emily, a teenage girl who goes missing during a series of unexplained disappearances. Emily finds herself trapped in an endless procedurally-generated hallway within her own apartment, slowly losing her memory.

Strange anomalies begin to appear, and by capturing them, Emily is able to retrieve glimpses of her forgotten past. However, deadly entities, taking the form of Emily’s childhood toys, roam the loops to stop her from uncovering the truth. Emily must use her flashlight, camera, and the doors in her apartment to survive.

Complimenting the gameplay in Captured II is VHS aesthetic, combined with the goal of isolation and the eerie feeling of being home alone in the late 90s. The game also features a dynamic camera system, and “immersive flashlight movement.” As mentioned, the entities you’ll face take on the form of childhood toys, each with their own unique traits and mechanics.
