“Anemone,” “Chad Powers,” “Bear” S4 Set Dates

It has been a busy day or so for date announcements.

First up, Focus Features has finally announced an October 3rd limited and October 10th wide release for the Daniel Day-Lewis led film “Anemone,” a family drama about the ties between brothers, fathers, and sons. Day-Lewis’ son Ronan makes his feature-length directorial debut on the project which also stars Sean Bean, Samantha Morton, Samuel Bottomley and Safia Oakley-Green.

On the TV front, Hulu has announced a September 30th premiere of the first two episodes of the Glen Powell-led sports comedy “Chad Powers”. “Loki” creator Michael Waldron co-writes and executive produces the series about a disgraced hotshot college football quarterback who stages a comeback through helping a struggling Southern football team.

Then, FX has officially announced a June 25th release date for the fourth season of its restaurant-set ‘comedy’ “The Bear”. As per usual with past seasons, all ten episodes of the much-acclaimed, award-winning series will be made available that day.

FX has also set a September 23rd premiere for its new drama “The Lowdown”. The first two episodes of the eight-episode series air that night, with subsequent episodes coming weekly. Ethan Hawke stars as citizen journalist Lee Raybon and is joined by the likes of Ryan Kiera Armstrong, Kaniehtiio Horn and Tim Blake Nelson.

Finally, Amazon Prime Video has set a December 3rd premiere date for their Christmas holiday movie “Oh. What. Fun.” starring Michelle Pfeiffer as the mother who holds her chaotic, lovable family together every holiday season but who rediscovers what it’s like to put herself first. Felicity Jones, Chloë Grace Moretz, Denis Leary, Maude Apatow, Jason Schwartzman, Eva Longoria and Joan Chen co-star.
