AHSOKA Season 2 Retro-Style Concept Art Sizzel Reel Description Teases The Awesomness That is Coming

At this year’s Star Wars Celebration, Dave Filoni surprised everyone by dropping the first real tease for Ahsoka Season 2.It leaked online for a bit before it was removed, and it was a full-blown retro-style concept art trailer that gave fans just enough to lose their minds.Filoni explained that George Lucas made a trailer for Empire Strikes Back before he’d even filmed it, so naturally, Filoni decided to do the same thing for Ahsoka Season 2. It was a stylistic blast of a concept art sizzle reel with classic-style narration that feels like a lost teaser from 1970s and it was teasing epic lightsaber duels, ancient droid monsters, and the continued unraveling of Ahsoka's deep-space cliffhanger. The concept trailer showcased massive fleet battles between the New Republic and the growing power of the Imperial Remnant, with Ezra Bridger fully suited up and ready for action alongside X-Wing pilots. Meanwhile, in that other galaxy where Ahsoka and Sabine ended up last season, things look weird and dangerous in really cool ways. We catch glimpses of the duo wandering through ancient ruins, squaring off against giant, decaying droid guardians. The narration set the tone, hyping up an epic confrontation:“The imperial remnant is gaining in power. Who will be able to stop them? In the continuation of the Star Wars series, our heroes must confront enemies in two different galaxies as they battle the forces of evil. “In the course of the odyssey, we return to old friends … and battle ancient machines from a dark and terrible past. Culminating in an awesome confrontation between Ahsoka Tano and the Fallen Jedi Knight, Baylen Skoll.”The trailer also teased David Tennant’s Huyang facing off against Shin Hati, showing off a very Grievous-style move by splitting his arms into four and igniting multiple lightsabers. Chopper then shows up with a freakin’ repeater cannon and just starts blasting. Oh, and then there’s Zeb, who is officially back and joining his old Rebels crew for more action. There was also confirmation that Game of Thrones alum Rory McCann will take over the role of Baylan Skoll, stepping in for the late, great Ray Stevenson. Also, Admiral Ackbar is coming in hot for a head-to-head against Thrawn. And, then there’s Hayden Christensen coming back as Anakin Skywalker.Ahsoka Season 1 gave us eight episodes of legacy character reunions, wild space magic, and the long-awaited arrival of Grand Admiral Thrawn in live action. I can’t wiat to see all of this brought to life for Season 2!

AHSOKA Season 2 Retro-Style Concept Art Sizzel Reel Description Teases The Awesomness That is Coming

At this year’s Star Wars Celebration, Dave Filoni surprised everyone by dropping the first real tease for Ahsoka Season 2.

It leaked online for a bit before it was removed, and it was a full-blown retro-style concept art trailer that gave fans just enough to lose their minds.

Filoni explained that George Lucas made a trailer for Empire Strikes Back before he’d even filmed it, so naturally, Filoni decided to do the same thing for Ahsoka Season 2.

The narration set the tone, hyping up an epic confrontation:

“The imperial remnant is gaining in power. Who will be able to stop them? In the continuation of the Star Wars series, our heroes must confront enemies in two different galaxies as they battle the forces of evil.

“In the course of the odyssey, we return to old friends … and battle ancient machines from a dark and terrible past. Culminating in an awesome confrontation between Ahsoka Tano and the Fallen Jedi Knight, Baylen Skoll.”

The trailer also teased David Tennant’s Huyang facing off against Shin Hati, showing off a very Grievous-style move by splitting his arms into four and igniting multiple lightsabers.

And, then there’s Hayden Christensen coming back as Anakin Skywalker.

Ahsoka Season 1 gave us eight episodes of legacy character reunions, wild space magic, and the long-awaited arrival of Grand Admiral Thrawn in live action. I can’t wiat to see all of this brought to life for Season 2!
