Royal Pains
A revival of former USA Network ‘Blue Sky’-era series “Royal Pains” is in the works at NBC with Mark Feuerstein reprising his role of Dr. Hank Lawson. Co-creator Andrew Lenchewski and executive producer Michael Rauch will write the new series but it’s unclear if any of the original cast members will return.

The original show ran for eight seasons and followed a former New York ER doctor who moves to the Hamptons to open a concierge practice targeting the ultra-rich. The revival sees him searching for a new purpose in life and about to embark on his biggest project yet. [Source: Variety]

Netflix
Beginning with the final season of “You” rolling out today, Netflix is offering a new caption option allowing original language subtitles displaying only spoken dialogue.

For “You” for example, users can now pick dialogue only captions as ‘English’ while the Deaf and Hard of Hearing can select the usual ‘English (CC)’ which includes audio cues. The option will be rolled out across all Netflix originals, while the SDH/CC version remains available in every language offered by the company. [Source: Deadline]

The 2026 Golden Globes
CBS has announced that the 83rd annual Golden Globes will air Sunday, January 11th 2026 at California’s Beverly Hilton hotel. The ceremony will also be available to stream for Paramount+ with Showtime subscribers. Nominations will be announced on Monday, December 8th.

Comedian Nikki Glaser will be back to host the Golden Globes for the second consecutive year following a highly successful first go-around in January. The 2025 ceremony averaged 9.3 million total viewers. [Source: TV Line]

The Age of Innocence
Netflix has handed out orders for series version of Edith Wharton’s classic 1920 novel “The Age of Innocence” and Jhumpa Lahiri’s 2008 short story collection “Unaccustomed Earth” about an insular Indian American community.

Emma Frost serves as executive producer and showrunner on the former, John Wells (“The Pitt”) will co-write the latter with Madhuri Shekar (“3 Body Problem”) and Wells serving as showrunner. ‘Earth’ will reportedly run for eight episodes. [Source: Variety]

The Summer I Turned Pretty
Amazon Prime Video has confirmed its teen drama series “The Summer I Turned Pretty” returns for its third and final season on July 16th and has released a trailer for the new eleven episode run.

In the new season, it’s the end of her junior year of college and Belly’s looking forward to another summer in Cousins with her soulmate, Jeremiah. Her future seems set, until some core-shaking events bring her first love Conrad back into her life. Now on the brink of adulthood, Belly finds herself at a crossroads and must decide which brother has her heart. Summer will never be the same.
