Organised by global tech leader Meta in partnership with the Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU) and in collaboration with Saudi Tourism Authority (STA) and Riyadh Air, Saudi Arabia’s new national carrier set to launch filghts later this year, the first ever “Instagram creators summit” in the MENA region will bring together dozens of top content creators from around the world. The event will feature dynamic panel discussions, inspiring keynote talks, and in-depth conversations on the future of content creation, exploring themes such as social media, artificial intelligence, and the evolving digital landscape.
An elite list of content creators was hand-picked to experience an exciting line-up of sessions designed to enhance their skills, expand their reach, and maximise their impact. Cumulatively, the select group of creators represent a global reach of more than 231 million followers, illustrating the growing significance of the influencer industry to travel destinations today. A key focus will be on Meta AI, where attendees will explore its latest capabilities and how it can revolutionise content creation, engagement, and monetisation.
Additional sessions will provide expert insights on optimising platform features, leveraging the latest product updates, and navigating new opportunities in the creator economy. Interactive panels will offer direct access to Meta’s product managers for real-time discussions, while open-ended conversations will foster collaboration and community-building among creators.
AlUla will lead conversations on preserving cultural heritage in the face of rapid digital transformation. Discussions will explore how communities, craftsmanship, and storytelling shape a destination’s identity, and the growing responsibility of content creators to promote authenticity in an AI-driven world. From the evolving role of local traditions to new models of collaboration between creators and Saudi-based brands, AlUla showcases its unique ability to continuously evolve while staying true to its roots – a place that is forever revitalising, where heritage and innovation move forward together.
Throughout the summit, creators will immerse themselves in AlUla’s breathtaking natural landscapes and rich heritage spanning 200,000 years of human history and over 7,000 years of continuous civilisations.
Attendees will engage in curated experiences that highlight AlUla’s offerings across culture, wellness, adventure, and the arts. Their journey will include visits to the region’s most unique luxury resorts such as Our Habitas AlUla, Banyan Tree AlUla, Dar Tantora The House Hotel and The Chedi Hegra. They will also experience iconic landmarks like Hegra, Saudi Arabia’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site, AlUla Old Town, and Madrasat Addeera, a hub for crafts, culture and creativity within the AlJadidah Arts District.
Hosting the Instagram Creators Summit in AlUla underscores the city’s growing influence as a global hub for culture, creativity, and innovation, offering a truly exclusive backdrop for meaningful inspiration and deep revitalisation.
