FINLAND. Avolta has launched Nordic Kitchen at Helsinki Airport. The flagship airside sense of place opening features a copper-clad bar, delicatessen counter and à la carte dining room.

The 500sq m venue in the Non-Schengen Departures area offers food with Nordic flavours and a design featuring warm colours and natural wood.

It serves 240 covers providing a wide variety of seating options, including comfortable sofas, high tables and chairs, and larger tables for groups.

Food menu highlights include Reindeer Croquettes with Horseradish Mayonnaise and Grilled Salmon with Chanterelle Mushroom Risotto. Dessert highlights include Spruce Ice Cream and Homemade Blueberry Pie.

The drinks offer includes international and local craft beers and a curated list of still and sparkling wines. The spirits selection features local gins and whiskies.
