The Wonder Years tap Sweet Pill, Origami Angel, Knuckle Puck mems for new acoustic LP, share new song
The Wonder Years’ third volume of their acoustic album series ‘Burst & Decay’ is the first one to include a new song, and that song is out now.

The Wonder Years recently announced a new Burst & Decay (aka acoustic) tour with a string section and support from Kevin Devine, and they revealed during the announcement that a third volume of Burst & Decay will be released this year too, and that it’ll include a new song for the first time in the series’ history. Now they’ve shared all the details for that and they released the new song, “Junebug.” It’s a full-band acoustic song that’s soft and sentimental but still has plenty of energy, and given how genre-diverse The Wonder Years have become, it works as well on Burst & Decay as it would on a “proper” Wonder Years album. It also comes with a very cool video (produced & edited by Catalogue Co) that projects footage of the band performing onto various outdoor environments. Check it out below.
The other eight songs on Burst & Decay (Volume III) are acoustic versions of songs from throughout The Wonder Years’ discography, and they have three guests on the album: Sweet Pill‘s Zayna Youssef, Origami Angel‘s Ryland Heagy, and Knuckle Puck‘s Joe Taylor. It comes out on May 9 and you can pre-order it here.
The tour begins on May 14 and hits Brooklyn on May 18 at Warsaw. All dates are listed below.
