Tablo table by Piero Lissoni for Porro

Dezeen Showroom: architect Pierro Lissoni drew on the sturdy workbenches of metal workshops when designing this sleek table for Italian furnituremaker Porro.

Tablo is available in two versions – a marble-topped coffee table for the home, and a taller version with a back-painted verde gris glass top.

The latter iteration is suited for dining rooms and executive offices.

The tables' refined tabletop surfaces contrast with the industrial metal structure in a glossy verde cardo finish, which "evokes the delicate chiaroscuro of nature", according to Porro.

Thanks to perimeter and cross reinforcements, the tabletop offers a continuous surface for maximum practicality and is available in different sizes.

Curved corners and tapered legs soften the table's industrial aesthetic and metal materiality.
