The Police drummer Stewart Copeland is the latest guest on the SPIN Presents Lipps Service podcast, during which he and host Scott Lipps discuss the legendary band’s formation, quick rise to fame and unfortunate dissolution, as well as Copeland’s international upbringing as the son of an American intelligence officer.
Copeland also talks about the Police’s volatile interpersonal dynamic, the advice they received from Beatles producer George Martin, the ups and downs of the band’s 2007-2008 reunion tour and his own upcoming projects, including symphonic performances of the Police catalog.
