Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan teases shows with “The Machines of God”
”For those in the know you can do the math on what it all means,” he says.

Billy Corgan has been keeping busy, as ever; he recently launched his new podcast, The Magnificent Others, and he’ll be taking The Smashing Pumpkins on a tour of Europe and the UK this summer. He’s also begun teasing another tour, writing on his Substack, “I will be playing shows this summer under the moniker BILLY CORGAN AND THE MACHINES OF GOD.”
“For those in the know you can do the math on what it all means,” he adds, “but feel free to speculate in the comments below and I will try to add to the bonfire without giving away, yet, what I can not.”
Billy Corgan and the Machines of God are on the recently announced lineup for Milwaukee Summerfest, and it looks like we can expect more dates soon. As to who will be joining him for these shows, we’re not sure yet, but the name seems to suggest a connection to the Pumpkins’ 2000 album Machina/The Machines of God. Stay tuned.
Corgan is also on the lineup of the final Black Sabbath show, where he’s billed as an “additional performance” along with Duff McKagan, Slash, Fred Durst, Jonathan Davis, Mike Bordin, Papa V Perpetua, Sammy Hagar, and more.
