Slayer’s Kerry King played Irving Plaza with Municipal Waste & Alien Weaponry
His set included some Slayer cuts and a couple if Iron Maiden covers.
Slayer guitarist Kerry King is on tour supporting his debut solo album From Hell I Rise, and on Friday (2/7) he stopped in NYC for a show at Irving Plaza. King is joined on this run by Death Angel‘s Mark Osegueda on lead vocals, Machine Head/Vio-lence‘s Phil Demmel on guitar, HELLYEAH‘s Kyle Sanders on bass, and Slayer’s Paul Bostaph on drums, and together they ripped through much of the new album, along with some Slayer cuts and a couple of Iron Maiden covers. See their setlist below, along with attendee-taken video clips.
Municipal Waste and Alien Weaponry are opening the tour, and you can see pictures from Friday night by Mathieu Bredeau below.
King recently named his top five guitarists of all time.
