Purple Mountain Observatory SS25 Is a Fresh Take On Outerwear

Purple Mountain Observatory continues to push itself to new limits. Back for the third year since its rebrand from Carrier Goods, the London-based label aims to evolve the dynamic relationship between urban landscapes and the natural world. The Spring/Summer 2025 collection continues to expand the boundaries of technical wear without shying away from brighter color palettes. Instead of blending into the mountainside, lilac, bright green, and cobalt blue complement the landscape filled with wildflowers. The pieces also expand on the brand's previous Obsidian range, featuring heat-adaptive materials, Halley Stevensons wax fabrics, and the signature Barnacle Mesh, built for lightweight movement. The collection provides a full range of silhouettes, from a weather-resistant poncho to the Waves Quilted Vest. The deep blue vest is accented by wave-like stitching and crafted with a crinkle nylon outer shell and DWR coating. Another exciting piece is the Advanced Balaclava Soft Shell, which features external 3M reflective heat-sealed taping and invisible heat-sealed pockets, perfect for heavy-duty warmth from the lightest materials. The Purple Mountain Observatory SS25 collection is available online now at the Purple Mountain Observatory website. Prices range from £165 GBP for a Breeze Jacket to £330 GBPfor the Cygnus Wax Jacket (approximately $213 - $427 USD).
