Pharrell Is Toasting His Birthday With Bow-Tied Moët & Chandon Bottles
Pharrell is turning 52 next month, and what better way to celebrate the Louis Vuitton designer's birthday than with a toast from LVMH's premier champagne label? Introducing the Moët & Chandon Pharrell Williams Limited Edition Collection, a suite of custom-designed bottles containing the renowned French house's best bubbles made in collaboration with Skateboard P himself, specifically for birthdays. The collection includes three different bottles — the Limited Edition, the Bow Capsule, and the Jewel Masterpiece — with an archival bow motif from 1892. The Limited Edition bottle comes in gold, midnight blue, deep red, and white hues with Pharrell's name printed on the glass in a white-dotted text akin to pearls, while the Bow Capsule dons an oversized fabric bow decorated with pearly beads that doubles as a brooch. The Jewel Masterpiece is the most exclusive of the bunch, with only 30 units going into production. Hand-crafted in France, the design employs a mirrored chrome surface with hand-lettering by artist Astrid de Chaillé, who used 89 embossed relief pearls to create a three-dimensional effect. Additionally, a large bow, made by Atelier Baqué Molinié over the course of 300 hours with 7,310 beads, ties around the bottleneck. All together, the Jewel Masterpiece will be sold for a whopping €30,000 EUR.“The best part about a birthday are the people who want to celebrate it with you,” Pharrell said in a statement on the collaboration. “When I was old enough to toast with champagne for the first time, Moët & Chandon was my point of reference. I suppose it’s just a tradition, it’s the ritual.”The Moët & Chandon Pharrell Williams Limited Edition Collection is now available to shop in select retail, gastronomy, and hotel locations, as well as at select Moët & Chandon bars.
