Sony has finally nuked one of PS Store‘s most notorious scam game developers after months of complaints from players. Although this development is unlikely to be a direct result of user reports, it’s a relief to see “Grizzly Games Limited” bite the dust along with all of its games.
Players who fall for PS Store scam are often denied refunds
For those who haven’t been following our regular coverage of PS Store scam, Grizzly Games Limited is a long-time shovelware developer that recently delved into cloning popular PC games in an effort to con people out of their money.
Last December, the developer published a listing for a game called Forest Ranger Life Simulator (pictured above) with characters resembling those in Sony’s own The Last of Us, making it evident that PS Store’s automated vetting system is a colossal failure.
Now, as spotted by a PSNProfiles user, Grizzly Games Limited has disappeared from the PS Store along with its games.
While this is a promising development, there are still dozens of scam games and developers flooding PSN. We’re not even counting hundreds (if not thousands) of shovelware with easy trophies clogging every section of the storefront.
Here’s hoping Sony improves its PS Store submission process.
