Kathryn Newton will Reteam with Radio Silence for ‘Ready or Not 2’

Abigail actress Kathryn Newton will reteam with Radio Silence for Ready or Not 2, Deadline reports.

Newton joins returning star Samara Weaving in the sequel from Searchlight Pictures.

Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett are back at the helm with a script by original Ready or Not writers are Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy.

The first film followed a young bride (Weaving) as she joined her new husband’s rich, eccentric family in a time-honored tradition that turned into a lethal game with everyone fighting for their survival.

Tripp Vinson, James Vanderbilt, Bradley J. Fischer, and William Sherak produce the sequel, with Busick, Murphy, Chad Villella, Tara Farney, and Greg Denny serving as executive producers.

Searchlight VP of Production Richard Ruiz and Creative Executive Cornelia Burleigh are covering the project for the studio, reporting to Co-Heads of Production and Development DanTram Nguyen and Katie Goodson-Thomas.

A genre darling, Newton’s credits also include Freaky, Lisa Frankenstein, Paranormal Activity 4, and “Supernatural.”
