Jenna Bush Hager and Savannah Guthrie Open Up About Wanting More Children

When it comes to kids, there’s no perfect number — just the one that feels right. For Jenna Bush Hager and Savannah Guthrie, that number might already be set.

On the Monday, March 3 episode of Today with Jenna & Friends, Guthrie, 53, shared that she had woken up convinced her cohost had a bun in the oven. “I had a dream last week that you were having baby number four,” she told Bush Hager, 43. “Do you have anything to announce?”

The former first daughter, who shares three kids — Mila, 11, Poppy, 9, and Hal, 5 — with husband Henry Hager, played along before shutting it down. “I have nothing to announce,” she declared. “I’m pretty sure I’ve come to terms that three, even though it’s an imperfect number, is the perfect number for our household.”

Guthrie, who has two kids of her own — Vale, 10, and Charley, 8 — with husband Michael Feldman, understood the feeling. “I would’ve had a third in a heartbeat, but, you know, I was up against the clock,” she shared.

In 2023, Jenna shared on Today with Hoda & Jenna that she once considered a fourth, but her husband wasn’t on board. “Henry put his foot down,” the proud mom admitted at the time. “He says we have three healthy babies.” Meanwhile, Guthrie is beyond “grateful” for her little crew. “I’ll never get over it,” she told People in February 2024. “I got to have babies long past the time that anyone would really be hopeful, [and] I had long given up hope.”
