‘Jaws’ Swims Back Into Theaters This Summer for 50th Anniversary

Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water, Steven Spielberg‘s Jaws is returning to the big screen!

The TCM Classic Film Festival will host the first Jaws screening of the year with a special 50th anniversary presentation in April, followed by a nationwide theatrical re-release from August 29 through September 4 via Universal.

Alamo Drafthouse Cinema will kick off its summer-long Jaws celebration over Memorial Day weekend in May, hosting screenings featuring a special menu and fun props along with limited-edition popcorn buckets and merchandise.

A special Jaws on the Water screening will take place on June 21 as part of the Alamo Drafthouse Rolling Roadshow in Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts, where the film was shot. Additional Jaws on the Water screenings will occur at Lake Travis in Austin, Texas, in June and July.

A 50th anniversary edition of Jaws will be released on physical media and digital with new bonus material this summer. The film will also stream exclusively on Peacock starting June 15 along with Jaws 2, Jaws 3-D, and Jaws: The Revenge.

Beginning in May, new Jaws merchandise will be available for purchase at Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood, including a  sipper, bucket hat, baseball cap, crossbody bag, cooler bag, and more.

The Academy Museum of Motion Picture in Los Angeles will host Jaws: The Exhibition on view between September 14, 2025 and July 26, 2026.

Look for new Jaws products across fashion, toys, publishing, collectibles, and more throughout the year as well.

Based on the novel by Peter Benchley, the 1975 original summer blockbuster stars Roy Scheider, Robert Shaw, Richard Dreyfuss, Lorraine Gary, and Murray Hamilton.
