COSTA RICA. Our latest images come courtesy of acclaimed destination travel retailer Morpho Travel Experience, which recently opened a new store as part of an airside upgrade at Guanacaste Airport in northwest Costa Rica.
The airport, which serves the city of Liberia and is a gateway to tourism in the northwest of Costa Rica, is managed by Vinci Airports-controlled Coriport. Last week the partners inaugurated a 634sq m expansion of the airside departures space.
The US$3.3 million investment features upgrades across two levels. A first-floor redesign and widened access to boarding lounges, added a pet relief zone and created space for a video wall.
On the mezzanine level, Morpho has opened its latest store as part of a refreshed shopping and dining offer.
Morpho Travel Experience CEO Adriana Echandi highlighted the evolution of the passenger experience in Guanacaste: “At Morpho Travel Experience, we have always believed that the passenger experience must constantly evolve. That’s why we work hand in hand with excellent airport operators, such as Coriport, and with the entire airport ecosystem to create an environment that truly meets the needs of travellers.
“Over the past year, we have focused our efforts on improving the spaces and services within Guanacaste Airport, a key terminal for Costa Rica’s connectivity with the world.”
Morpho Travel Experience has built a reputation as a dynamic and highly creative destination retailer across airports, resorts and hotels over the past 24 years. This latest project helps cement its well-earned reputation as a champion of the concept of sense of place in travel environments.
