PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers get access to tons of video games with its service. However, the highest PS Plus tier doesn’t only include benefits for gaming consumers. It also grants access to the Sony Pictures Catalog via Sony Pictures Core, the company’s movie streamer.
U.S. PS Plus Premium Movies via Sony Pictures Core includes 95 films
From PS Plus subreddit, user Akunoma created a list of all the movies available to Premium subscribers for March 2025 using the popular movie rating app Letterboxd. As there really isn’t any other way to check what movies are currently available on the Sony Pictures Catalog without using a PlayStation console, this is a pretty useful tool for those who want to see what is available through the subscription service. The link to the full list is here for anyone interested.
There are some actual solid films to watch with the Sony Pictures Catalog. District 9, Adaptation, Big Fish, House of Flying Daggers, and Paprika are all genuinely great films well worth the watch. Users looking for a “fun watch” will have no trouble here, as the catalog is made up with movies fitting that description. This includes Johnny Mnemonic, several of the Milla Jovovich-led Resident Evil films, Double Team, and Dragon Wars.
There are also some great movies for PlayStation diehards to enjoy. Specifically, Final Fantasy fans as 2001’s Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children, Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy 15 are all available to watch with a PS Plus Premium subscription.
It should be noted that these films are specifically available for users in the U.S. This means PS Plus Premium subscribers in the U.K., Canada, or any other region may have different films available to stream.
To those not already a PS Plus Premium subscriber, it costs $17.99 for a monthly subscription to the service. Users can get slight discounts for purchasing more months of the service at one time. A three month subscription costs $49.99, while a 12 month subscription costs $159.99.
