DREIEICH, GERMANY – Hahnair, renowned for its leading airline distribution solutions, has officially become a part of the ARC New Distribution Capability (NDC) Advancement Working Group. With this step, Hahnair will contribute to the Working Group’s mission on refurbishing industry standards and accelerating the NDC’s implementation throughout the travel sector.

The Airlines Reporting Corporation is a leading industry authority in air travel, bridging connections between airlines, agencies, and corporate buyers. Established in October 2023, ARC’s NDC Advancement Working Group actively identifies and adopts best practices, enhances operational efficiency, and advances industry partnerships. The Group comprises a network of progressive travel stakeholders, such as travel management companies, online travel agencies, consolidators, technology providers, and airlines.

Rachel Pascall, Vice President New Distribution at Hahnair expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration: “We at Hahnair take immense pride in joining forces with the ARC NDC Advancement Working Group to support driving the adoption of cutting-edge NDC standards across the travel industry. Joining a collective of forward-thinking industry partners with a wide range of perspectives and expertise, we are eager to participate in the development of standards and best practices that pave the way for strategic NDC-based solutions in the travel industry.”

“We are pleased to have Hahnair’s expertise and broad network of partners join the NDC Advancement Working Group,” said Paige Blunt, Senior Manager of Direct Connect and ONE Order at ARC. “Hahnair understands the importance of managing the complexities of NDC and is playing a valuable role with their knowledge that benefits the working group as we aspire to establish best practices for the industry.”

The working group’s focus topics, such as facilitating a transparent exchange of fare information and simplifying processes related to ticket exchanges and debit memos, aligns with Hahnair’s commitment to more efficient, customer-centric travel retail processes. Previous accomplishments of the NDC Advancement Working Group have been addressing pressing topics such as unused tickets, order change notifications and void rules. Upcoming discussions are posed to focus on handling of debit memos, and other pertinent issues.
