Fields of Mistria Pet Cat Introduced in New Trailer
As part of the Fields of Mistria March 2025 update, people could choose a pet to live on their farm, and new trailer shows off what it’s like to get a cat. The video goes through the whole process, which also includes customization that lets you choose what the kitten will look like. The trailer notes that this process begins with a “dream” that happens after the player goes to sleep one night. They will get to envision the animal first. There are then 12 cat and 12 dog options to choose from, each with different color schemes. After you choose one, you can name it and select its gender. It is also possible to select a randomized name. The pet cat then appears outside the house the next morning and walks right into the home to move in. Like other animals in Fields of Mistria, a cat has an affection and relationship gauge affected by petting it every day. You can also choose a “job” for it. In the video, the options for a kitten are to collect forageables, stone, or wood. Once you choose one of those options, you can see the animal in the wild “working.” When it arrives home each evening, it will share what it found. In this case, the video shows it returning with three stones.
