Classic, elusive Bungie RTS Myth comes back to life in full-scale fan remaster
As Bungie prepares for the revival of Marathon in a new-look form for 2025, another of its classic PC games sits almost forgotten. Myth: The Fallen Lords and its sequel Myth 2: Soulblighter were the studio’s first foray into the strategy game genre, and stood tall among the likes of Command and Conquer, Age of Empires, and Starcraft as two of the best RTS games of the era. Yet as the developer moved on to Halo and Destiny, the Myth games fell into the background - but a small group of dedicated fans has worked hard to change that.
