PS Plus classics with trophies

A beloved PS1 game is all set to join the list of third-party PS Plus classics with trophies, according to its developer. Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee, which is currently part of PS Plus Premium, will get a free trophy patch hopefully “soon.”

Growing list of third-party PS Plus classics with trophies praised by fans

This news comes from an exchange between developer Oddworld Inhabitants and a fan on X. The fan requested trophy support for Abe’s Oddysee, like Abe’s Exoddus received previously, in response to which the studio said, “We’re hoping to soon!!”

This update comes mere days after LucasArts’ 2006 game Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy stealth dropped an update with trophies. If previous pattern is any indication, there will be a separate trophy list for both the PS5 and PS4. The lists will be identical, but players will be able to stack both versions if they’re willing to play through the game twice since they’re unlikely to auto-pop.

As a reminder, Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee is also available to purchase separately for $4.99.

PS Plus subscribers are a hard bunch to please, but if there’s one thing they’ve unanimously praised, it’s Sony’s efforts to not only bring trophies to classics but also ongoing performance improvement patches that are relatively frequent.
