Avolta celebrates Saudi Arabia entry with four F&B openings at King Khalid International Airport

SAUDI ARABIA. Leading travel experience player Avolta has inaugurated four of ten planned venues in its new food & beverage programme at Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport.

It is the company’s first entry into the burgeoning Saudi Arabia travel market.

The Terminal 1 openings include Dallah Coffee (offering authentic regional cuisine with Arabic coffee, dates and sweets); Hudson Café (a hybrid store combining retail with food and coffee); Costa; and a Jones The Grocer restaurant.

Performing the opening ceremony for the four new Terminal 1 dining and café venues are, from left, Avolta General Manager F&B Middle East and Africa Marco Cuglianich; Riyadh Airports Company (RAC) Terminal Concession Director/Acting General Manager of Commercial Business Development Abdullah Al Salem; RAC Contract & Tendering Senior Director Khalid Alangari; RAC Chief Commercial Officer Abdulaziz Al-Asaker; Avolta President & CEO EMEA Luis Marin; and Avolta CEO Middle East and Africa Abdeslam Agzoul

Locations still to follow include family casual restaurant Giraffe and healthy food restaurant L’Eto.

Avolta’s ten venues – which will eventually cover 2,125sq m – are among the 25 F&B locations awarded by Riyadh Airports Company (RAC) across its international terminals 1, 2 and the T1-T2 Link after a hotly contested open tender last year.

Avolta President & CEO EMEA Luis Marin told The Moodie Davitt Report: “Bringing Avolta to Saudi Arabia is a significant milestone, and we are very pleased to be operating at Riyadh Airport in partnership with Riyadh Airports Company. {Main story continues below the following panel}
