34 New Songs Out Today
Listen to new songs by Weatherday, Perfume Genius, The Smile (remixes), Snapped Ankles, Smerz, Movements, Curren$y & Harry Fraud, and more.

So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.
THE SMILE – “DON’T GET ME STARTED” (JAMES HOLDEN REMIX) & “INSTANT PSALM” (ROBERT STILLMAN REMIX)

These will be released as a double-A-side 12″ on March 28.

I enlisted my dear friend Hannah Cohen to sing harmonies, and the closing guitarmony solo was dueled out by Maddy Baltor and I, side by side. It was joyful to say the least. We knew this one needed drums so we called in the legendary Kenny Wollesen and he got it on the first take. I love how Oliver Hill interpreted my demo into this beautiful arrangement for woodwinds and strings.”

I wanted to channel that spirit of discovery by writing new lyrics over a new version of the beat for that song reimagined by my homie Dan Only. The resulting cover hopefully shares some of the beautiful, transfixing and beguiling DNA of the original.”

GORDI – “PERIPHERAL LOVER”

Accepting the available love instead of it orbiting around you. There comes a breaking point, a demand, a pleading for honesty – and the relationship either explodes into the open, or melts from the periphery away into nothing. From these thoughts, ‘Peripheral Lover’ was born. It exploded into being in about 3 hours.”
