Creating this with Omar Epps was truly legendary."Red Clay follows the story of Nook, played by Christopher A'mmanuel, a teenager who is facing societal challenges having grown up with a mother with drug addiction. Nook and his friend Bub dream of a better life but they find themselves stuck in the world he seeks to escape. The film is set in 2003 and stars Rutina Wesley and Jaylan Ragin. Epps said of the story, "My inspiration to write this film came from the need to unpack brutal truths, and showcase the complexities of why black and brown communities normalize trauma. It’s my hope to inspire conversations which motivate people to have more grace, and compassion towards one another.”In the past, 2 Chainz ventured into acting with his role on the TV series BMF as well as in the 2022 film The Enforcer.
