Wormrot’s original lineup announces US tour & live-in-studio LP

Singapore grindcore greats Wormrot revealed last year that they reunited their original lineup of vocalist Arif Suhaimi, guitarist Nurrasyid “Rasyid” Juraimi, and drummer Fitri, with plans to play Maryland Deathfest, and now they’ve announced a new live-in-studio album and a lengthy US tour.

The album, titled TNT, was recorded live from TNT Studios in Singapore and it features renditions of 12 tracks from throughout the band’s carer. The first one to be released is “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Grind,” originally from 2016’s Voices, and it also comes with a live-in-studio performance video. Check it out below. The album drops May 30 via Earache (pre-order).

The tour is with DC grinders No/Más on all dates and other bands varying by date, and it kicks off with an East Coast leg that also features Bandit. That leg hits Brooklyn’s Gold Sounds on April 12 (also with Organ Dealer and Artificial Scarcity on the bill) and day two (4/13) of NJ Deathfest 9 at Dingbatz in Clifton, NJ (with Mortician, Malignancy, Abacinate, Nuclear Remains, Implosive Disgorgence, and more).
