Mating Season
The team behind Netflix’s long-running animated comedy “Big Mouth” are working on a new animated series for the streamer titled “Mating Season”.
The show, which will launch in 2026, is set in the animal world starring a cast of bears, raccoons, deer, foxes and a host of other lovable forest critters, as they navigate love, sexual relationships and the need to hook up and find a partner. [Source: Deadline]
Carrie
Matthew Lillard has entered talks to join Mike Flanagan’s “Carrie” TV series at Amazon MGM. Specifics of his part are under wraps, but the project is a new take on the Stephen King novel about a bullied girl with telekinetic powers.
He joins Summer H. Howell, who plays the title character, and Siena Agudong who will portray Sue Snell. Flanagan serves as writer, executive producer and showrunner and will also direct select episodes. [Source: Deadline]
Resident Alien
Syfy and USA Network are set to premiere the fourth season of its sci-fi comedy series “Resident Alien” on June 6th. Episodes will then air on Peacock one week later.
The ten-episode fourth season starts with Harry and his baby Bridget stuck in prison on the Grey Moonbase, while a shape-shifting Alien called a Mantid has taken over his body on Earth passing himself off as the real Harry Vanderspeigle. Harry manages to escape the Greys and arrives back on Earth for a showdown with the Mantid alien.
The Gilded Age
HBO has officially set a June 22nd release date for the third season of its period drama “The Gilded Age,” in addition they have released the teaser trailer for the series which will also be available to stream on Max.
The third season is set in the wake of the Opera War, the old guard is weakened and the Russells stand poised to take their place at the head of society. George risks everything on a gambit that could revolutionize the railroad industry, while Agnes refuses to accept Ada’s new position as lady of the house.
