The Doobie Brothers with Michael McDonald prep new LP & North American tour

The Doobie Brothers, which has had Michael McDonald back in the band since 2019 (alongside Patrick Simmons, Tom Johnston, and John McFee), will release their new album Walk This Road on June 6 via Rhino. The album, which is the first Doobie Brothers album to feature this lineup in 40 years, was made with producer John Shanks (Miley Cyrus, Sheryl Crow) and the title track features Mavis Staples. You can also catch The Doobie Brothers on tour this summer with the the late Jimmy Buffett’s Coral Reefer Band as support. Dates include NYC-area shows at Holmdel, NJ’s PNC Bank Arts Center on August 7 and Wantagh, NY’s Jones Beach on August 10. Tickets for all shows go on sale Friday, February 14 at 10 AM local time.
