Seth MacFarlane’s TED: THE ANIMATED SERIES Ordered by Peacock with Mark Wahlberg and Amanda Seyfried

Looks like Seth MacFarlane isn’t done playing with his foul-mouthed teddy bear Ted yet, and this time, it will be an animated series. Peacock has officially ordered Ted: The Animated Series, a new adult animated take on the franchise following the success of the live-action Ted series earlier this year.MacFarlane is reprising his iconic role as the unapologetically crass bear, and he’s also executive producing alongside Modern Family alums Paul Corrigan and Brad Walsh, who also helped shepherd the live-action version. The animated series also brings back familiar voices, including Mark Wahlberg as John, Amanda Seyfried as Sam, and Jessica Barth as Tami-Lynn. Joining the chaos are SNL’s Kyle Mooney as Apollo and Liz Richman as Ruth. The Ted franchise has been a big hit with the first season of Ted quickly becoming Peacock’s most-watched original title ever, and according to Nielsen, it held the No. 1 spot for original streaming comedy in the U.S. for over two months. Naturally, the series has already been renewed for a second live-action season. With that kind of momentum, it’s no surprise that Peacock wants more bear-fueled mayhem. An animated version gives the creative team a lot more freedom to lean into the unhinged humor that made Ted a hit to begin with without worrying about budget-breaking special effects. No word yet on when the series will be released, but considering the talent attached and the show’s built-in audience, Ted: The Animated Series is shaping up to be another raunchy ride that fans will enjoy.Source: Deadline
