Record Setter announce new EP ‘Evoke Invoke,’ share “Peace In A Memory”
The Texas band’s new single is a passionate, overwhelmingly sincere screamo song that takes place at a funeral and unpacks the emotions of losing a friend at a young age.

Texas emo/screamo band Record Setter won a lot of people over with their excellent 2020 album I Owe You Nothing, and since then, they’ve released just three songs: two on a split with Home Is Where and one on Touché Amoré vocalist Jeremy Bolm’s Balladeers, Redefined compilation. But now, they’ve finally announced a slightly lengthier new release, a six-song EP called Evoke Invoke that’s due out on April 4 (pre-order). It was self-produced and they’re also self-releasing it.
The first single is “Peace In A Memory,” a passionate, overwhelmingly sincere screamo song that takes place at a funeral and unpacks the emotions of losing a friend at a young age. It’s easy to see why Jeremy Bolm took an interest in this band; if you like Parting the Sea-era Touché Amoré, you’re pretty much guaranteed to love this. Check it out below.
