The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping
McKenna Grace (“Ghostbusters: Afterlife”) is the latest to join the film adaptation of “The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping” opening in November next year. The story revisits the world of Panem twenty-four years before the events of “The Hunger Games”.

Grace has been cast as Maysilee Donner, Haymitch Abernathy’s fellow District 12 tribute. She joins Joseph Zada as Haymitch along with Whitney Peak as Lenore Dove Baird. Francis Lawrence directs from a script by Billy Ray. [Source: Lionsgate]

Hamnet
Focus Features has announced a rollout of Oscar-winning filmmaker Chloé Zhao’s new film “Hamnet” with the title hitting limited release on November 27th before expanding nationwide on December 12th.

Based on Maggie O’Farrell’s novel, “Hamnet” tells the powerful love story that inspired the creation of Shakespeare’s timeless masterpiece “Hamlet”. Paul Mescal, Jessie Buckley, Emily Watson and Joe Alwyn co-star. [Source: Focus Features]

The Thursday Murder Club
Netflix has announced an August 28th premiere for its film adaptation of Richard Osman’s “The Thursday Murder Club” and released the first photos which you can see below. Filmmaker Chris Columbus helms the project which stars Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, Ben Kingsley, Celia Imrie, Naomi Ackie, Daniel Mays, Tom Ellis, Jonathan Pryce, David Tennant, Paul Freeman and Richard E. Grant.

Katy Brand and Suzanne Heathcote pen the film about four irrepressible retirees who spend their time solving cold case murders for fun. When an unexplained death occurs on their own doorstep, their casual sleuthing takes a thrilling turn as they find themselves with a real whodunit on their hands.

Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith
The “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith” re-release this weekend is set to be shown in 2,775 theaters – the widest U.S. domestic re-release ever for a film. To celebrate the event, the official “Star Wars” social media channels have released a brief amusing video below.
