PS Plus game gets trophies

One of the biggest bummers a PlayStation fan can experience is purchasing a game that doesn’t feature any trophies. Some might argue a game isn’t even worth playing if they can’t earn completely pointless digital accolades with no material worth.

However, sometimes trophies will surprisingly be added to those games, bringing a second life to the once trophy-less titles. It turns out events very similar to this have occurred with a classic PS Plus Star Wars game.

PS Plus Classic Star Wars Demolition now has trophies

Yes, the PS1 classic Star Wars Demolition now has trophies players can earn as they play the vehicular combat game. Available to PS Plus Premium subscribers via the Classics Catalog, the now has plenty of trophies to keep hunters busy. Specifically, there are 33 total trophies. And yes, one of them is a coveted Platinum.

This port of Star Wars Demolition was released in 2023. For non-PS Plus Premium subscribers, it costs just $4.99. Like most of the PS1 classics that get ported, it adds some new features not available in the original including enhanced visuals, rewind capability, quick save, and custom video filters.

In Star Wars Demolition, players can drive 10 different vehicles within eight different arenas as they attempt to destroy their opponents with different weaponry including laser cannons, proton torpedoes, and concussion missiles. There are four game modes to choose from including tournament and high stakes.

Sony recently revealed another Star Wars game coming to its PS Plus Game Catalog for Extra and Premium subscribers. Revealed during the recent PlayStation State of Play, the critically acclaimed Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be playable through the service on February 18. As this is a modern game for PS4 and PS5, trophy hunters do not have to fret, as it has plenty of trophies to garner including a Platinum.
