“Hysteria” will be released on Blu-ray on April 22 via Universal. Despite being billed as Season One, Peacock canceled the show back in February.
The two-disc set contains all eight episodes of the satanic panic horror-comedy series, which premiered in October on Peacock. No special features are listed.
When a beloved varsity quarterback disappears during the Satanic Panic of the late 1980s, a struggling high school rock band of outcasts realizes they can capitalize on the town’s sudden interest in the occult by building a reputation as a Satanic metal band, until a bizarre series of murders, kidnappings and reported supernatural activity triggers a leather-studded witch hunt that leads directly back to them.
Emjay Anthony, Chiara Aurelia, Kezii Curtis, Nikki Hahn, Anna Camp, Julie Bowen, and Bruce Campbell star with Jessica Treska, Nolan North, Elijah Richardson, Brandon Butler, Garret Dillahunt, Allison Scagliotti, and Milly Shapiro in recurring roles.
“Hysteria” was created by Matthew Scott Kane, who serves as co-showrunner alongside David A. Goodman (“The Orville”).
Jordan Vogt-Roberts (Kong: Skull Island), Wendey Stanzler (“Arrow”), Eduardo Sánchez (The Blair Witch Project), Alonso Alvarez (“The Lincoln Lawyer”), Millicent Shelton (“30 Rock”), and Shana Stein (“Power”) are among the season’s directors.
