With the T-1000 having completed the Kombat Pack 2 release, Warner Bros. and NetherRealm have done the customary and released the Definitive Edition of Mortal Kombat 1. As expected, this release contains all of the previously-released content since the game’s launch back in 2023, but with one more treat in the form of new character skins inspired by the upcoming Mortal Kombat II from director Simon McQuoid.

This “most extensive version” of Mortal Kombat 1, which has sold over 100 million copies worldwide across PC and consoles, offers the main game packaged together with previously released downloadable content, including the aforementioned Khaos Reigns story expansion, Kombat Pack, and Kombat Pack 2, along with the return of Animalities. The Definitive Edition also adds new character skins (outfits) for Johnny Cage, Kitana, Scorpion, and Shao Khan inspired by Mortal Kombat II, which arrives in theatres this fall; the 2021 Mortal Kombat movie character skin for Sub-Zero; and the tournament-themed character skin for Liu Kang.

Here’s the rundown of everything included with the Definitive Edition:

  • Mortal Kombat 1 Main Game
  • Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns Story Expansion
  • Kombat Pack Fighters: Quan Chi, Ermac, Takeda Takahashi, Omni-Man, Peacemaker, Homelander
  • Kombat Pack Kameo Fighters: Tremor, Khameleon, Janet Cage, Mavado, Ferra
  • Kombat Pack 2 Fighters: Cyrax, Sektor, Noob Saibot, Ghostface, Conan the Barbarian, T-1000 Terminator
