Mikey Madison Rejects Offer To Join Shawn Levy’s Star Wars Movie

Actress Mikey Madison rejects an offer to join the cast of Shawn Levy’s Star Wars movie in an undisclosed role. What a twist in this story as it was a mere hours earlier that Jeff Sneider through his The Insneider site claimed Maddison was in talks for a key role. However, Variety then reported that although Sneider was correct, his information was slightly outdated as Madison had rejected the offer.

Here’s what Variety reports in their article,

‘Mikey Madison won’t journey into a Galaxy Far Far Away for her first project after picking up the best actress Oscar.’

‘Sources tell Variety that Madison was offered a role in the new and untitled “Star Wars” movie directed by “Deadpool & Wolverine” filmmaker Shawn Levy, but conversations have since ended with the “Anora” star passing on the part.’

The trade also reiterates the film WILL star Ryan Gosling and the script is currently being written by Jonathan Tropper. The report also says this, which we kinda already knew.

‘The movie is said to be a standalone project that isn’t connected with the Skywalker Saga, which concluded with 2019’s “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.”’

Now I wonder how connected, if at all this is to the rumor we posted yesterday, linked above? It does seems like all this information is a tad outdated given the speed of events. I therefore wonder, if Greta Lee is being looked at now Madison has passed? This is pure speculation on my part, so please don’t take this as any kind of claim. I’m just wondering and I may be completely wrong?
