Gundam Umbrellas Look Like the Mobile Suits’ Shields
Bandai has revealed foldable umbrellas designed after the shields used by Mobile Suits from the 1979 anime show Mobile Suit Gundam. The company will sell these products on the Japanese Premium Bandai web store. [Thanks, Inside!] The umbrellas will be available in four designs. Each of them will take inspiration from Amuro Ray's RX-78-2 Gundam, Ramba Ral's MS-07B Gouf, Char Aznable's customized MS-06S Zaku II, and the regular MS-06 Zaku II. All umbrellas will have the same tax-inclusive price tag of 6,930 yen (~$48.35). Each umbrella will also come with a case adorned with emblems that suit the respective Mobile Suit. The umbrellas themed after the Mobile Suit Shields from Mobile Suit Gundam will be available in Japan. Bandai has yet to announce the products' pre-order and release windows as of the initial reveal.
