Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within and Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos are two of the selected films that will be featured in the third edition of the Niigata International Animation Film Festival (or NIAFF 2025.) This will be the third edition of the festival, which will be held for 6 days between March 15-20, 2025. The Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within movie screening is set to happen during the “All Night Niigata” slot of the festival alongside Minipato, Appleseed, and Blue Submarine No 6. The Knights of Sidonia anime movie was also announced to appear in the same slot. Meanwhile, Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos will be screened alongside Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence and the Bones 25: Dreaming Forwards documentary as part of the Event Screening. The timeslots for the movie screenings have yet to be announced.
