Estée Lauder sponsors Century Summit V in collaboration with Stanford Center on Longevity
In travel retail, Estée Lauder underlined its longevity focus with the opening of the Skin Longevity Institute at the Global Beauty Plaza in Hainan.

Estée Lauder is celebrating its recent sponsorship of Century Summit V, held at Stanford University in collaboration with the Stanford Center on Longevity on 22 January. The hybrid event convened professionals from business, media, policy and research to examine the implications of increased life expectancy and the 100-year life.
Organised with The Longevity Project, the summit explored how demographic shifts necessitate changes in work, urban design, lifelong learning, financial security and health.
A panel titled ‘Comfortable in Our Own Skin: Can the Beauty Industry Lead the Way?’ featured Estée Lauder Global Brand Ambassador Carolyn Murphy; Estée Lauder Vice President Global Communications Tara Connaughton and ROAR Forward Founder and CEO Michael Clinton. The session examined the beauty industry’s role in evolving perceptions of ageing and aesthetics.
“When I was signed to Estée Lauder, I was 28 and it was almost deemed too old for a beauty contract. The fact that Estée Lauder has stood by me for more than 20 years shows how they are really leading this shift towards celebrating women at any age,” said Murphy.
“Longevity is a multi-generational conversation,” added Connaughton. “At Estée Lauder, we are showing that skin longevity goes beyond anti-ageing to pro-ageing, educating and empowering consumers to look and feel their best at any age.”
Estée Lauder supports longevity research through its association with the Stanford Center on Longevity. As the first sponsor of the centre’s Program on Aesthetics & Culture, the company funds initiatives such as the New Map of Life post-doctoral fellowships to enhance understanding of longevity-related perceptions.
In June 2024, Estée Lauder expanded its focus on longevity with the launch of the Skin Longevity Institute at the cdf Sanya International Duty Free Shopping Complex Global Beauty Plaza in Hainan.
The travel retail concept provides customers with access to the brand’s SIRTIVITY-LP Age Reversal technology, advanced skin analysis, facial treatments and Re-Nutriv luxury skincare products.
Private and semi-private consultation spaces are equipped with tailored lighting, curated music and optimised room temperatures to deliver luxurious and sensorial skin-longevity services. Certified Global Pro Estheticians employ the proprietary iMatch Skin Analysis Pro diagnostic tool to assess skin conditions and personalise treatments.
Drawing on Estée Lauder’s extensive expertise in skin longevity, the institute offers four exclusive facial treatments tailored to individual skincare needs, incorporating Re-Nutriv formulations and specialised facial tools.
