Cannes Film Festival 2025 Line-Up Revealed

This year’s Cannes Film Festival line-up has been announced with movies by Wes Anderson, Ari Aster, Kelly Reichardt, Richard Linklater, Oliver Hermanus, Jafar Panahi, and Joachim Trier in competition for the Palme d’Or.

It’s officially confirmed that Chris McQuarrie’s “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning” will have its world premiere at the fest out of competition. Actors Scarlett Johansson and Harris Dickinson will be there to premiere their separate directing debuts both in the Un Certain Regard section.

Amongst the notable films are all-star ensembles like “Eddington” and “The Phoenician Scheme,” the Paul Mescal and Josh O’Connor-led 1910s gay romance tale “The History of Sound,” the Jodie Foster-led “Vie Privee,” Kelly Reichardt’s Vietnam war set “The Mastermind,” the Alexander Skarsgaard and Harry Melling-led kinky biker tale “Pillion,” Andrew Dominik’s U2 doco “Bono: Stories of Surrender”

Some rumored inclusions that haven’t made the list include Spike Lee’s “Highest 2 Lowest,” Terrence Malick’s “The Way of the Wind” and Kristen Stewart’s “The Chronology of Water”. The titles are:
