The Russo brothers have said they’d “definitely be open” to working on an Avengers video game while directing Doomsday.

Anthony and Joe Russo previously directed Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame after helming Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Civil War. Last year, it was announced the Russo brothers would be returning to Marvel to direct 2026’s Avengers: Doomsday and 2027’s Avengers: Secret Wars.
As well as movies, the pair recently announced their AGBO media company would be working on a mobile video game to go alongside their upcoming Netflix film The Electric State, which stars Chris Pratt, Millie Bobby Brown and Ke Huy Quan, and is due for release March 14.
Prequel The Electric State: Kid Cosmo is a “bite-sized adventure puzzle game” that will be available on mobile from March 18 for all Netflix subscribers.
In a new interview with Variety about the project, the Russo brothers were asked about creating a video game to go alongside the upcoming Avengers films or their ongoing Amazon Prime Video series Citadel. “We would definitely be open to it,” said Joe.
However, an Avengers game doesn’t seem to be at the top of their list of priorities. “Right now, what we’re doing is creating new IP,” Joe Russo continued. “At AGBO, we want to tell new stories. We want to tell new stories with new characters and new worlds that people haven’t seen before.
“We are working together to build out new worlds. And we have three that we’re currently working on that the intention is, for every world we build to have the scale and depth of a Star Wars universe, but in a different genre. And then we’ll build materials around those new worlds. We’ll tell stories in different ways using different media in those worlds.”
Avengers: Doomsday will see Robert Downey Jr. return to the MCU after leaving with Endgame. Instead of Iron Man though, he’ll be playing Victor Von Doom. However Chris Evans has denied rumours he’ll be returning as Captain America.
In other news, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 was officially announced earlier this week (March 4) but it seems that OG skater Bam Margera won’t be making a return.
