Anthony Green revisits solo debut ‘Avalon’ for reworked LP & tour with Geoff Rickly (splatter vinyl)

Anthony Green (of Circa Survive, L.S. Dunes, Saosin, The Sound of Animals Fighting, and more) has announced So Long, Avalon, a reworking of his 2008 debut solo album Avalon. The album was produced and mixed by Anthony’s longtime collaborator Keith Goodwin (of Good Old War and Days Away), and according to the album description, it “revisits the original songs with new ideas and approaches, shaped by 20 years of live performances, to capture the life they’ve taken on over time.” The first two tracks to be released are the new versions of album opener “She Loves Me So” and “Stonehearted Man,” and both are reworks that bring new life to these songs while remaining respectful to the original versions that we know and love. The album comes out on June 20 via Born Losers Records, and we’ve got an exclusive clear w/ purple splatter vinyl variant up for pre-order in the BV shop. It’s limited to 250; get yours while it lasts and check out a mock-up of the variant below.

Anthony will also support So Long, Avalon on a North American summer solo tour that features support from Thursday’s Geoff Rickly and Kurt Travis (ex-Dance Gavin Dance, A Lot Like Birds). That kicks off in Philly on July 11, and includes a NYC show on July 13 at Gramercy Theater. All dates are listed below.
