Teaser Trailer: “Predator: Badlands”

20th Century Studios has premiered the teaser trailer for “Predator: Badlands,” the upcoming live-action film continuation of the “Predator” franchise.

Following his success reviving the franchise with “Prey,” filmmaker Dan Trachtenberg returns for this film which “welcomes you to a world of hurt”.

Set in the future on a remote planet, a young Predator – outcast from his clan – finds an unlikely ally in Thia (Elle Fanning) and embarks on a treacherous journey in search of the ultimate adversary.

Unlike previous movies in the franchise, here the Predator is the protagonist rather than an antagonist. Fanning’s character appears to be an android.

Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi takes on the role of the Predator, who is named Dek, in the film which was shot in New Zeland in the back half of last year.

The project isn’t to be confused with the animated anthology feature “Predator: Killer of Killers” which is scheduled to be released on June 6th on Hulu.

“Predator: Badlands” is slated to be theatrically released in the United States on November 7th.
