‘Predator: Badlands’ Teaser Trailer – You’ve Never Seen a ‘Predator’ Movie Like This Before!

In addition to the animated anthology movie Predator: Killer of Killers, the franchise will also return later this year with Prey director Dan Trachtenberg’s Predator: Badlands!

The newest entry in the franchise is set on a remote planet where a young Predator, outcast from his clan, finds an unlikely ally in Thia (Fanning) and embarks on a treacherous journey in search of the ultimate adversary. Yes, the main protagonist of the film is a Predator!!

Like with Prey, Trachtenberg’s goal with Predator: Badlands was to “push the franchise’s boundaries,” allowing fans the opportunity to root for the Predator this time around.

Predator: Badlands looks like the biggest, craziest Predator movie we’ve ever seen, one that certainly pushes the franchise down a bold new path. You’ve truly never seen a Predator movie like this one before, and there’s not even an ounce of hyperbole in that statement. Owned by Disney under the 20th Century Studios umbrella, the Predator franchise of course kicked off with the original action-horror classic in 1987. That was followed by sequels Predator 2, Predators, The Predator, and Prey, as well as the two Alien vs. Predator movies. The long-running franchise also includes all kinds of comic books and games.
