Niontay announces new album ft. MAVI, El Cousteau, Jadasea & more

Brooklyn-via-Florida rapper Niontay has announced a new album, Fada<3of$, due April 25 via MIKE‘s 10k label (pre-order). Niontay produced most of the album himself, and MIKE also contributes production to the album under his dj blackpower alias, plus Tony Seltzer and Harrison from Surf Gang contributed beats too. Fada<3of$ also features guest verses from MAVI, El Cousteau, Sideshow, Jadasea, Dav1d, and lil peanutbutter. Niontay says:

The initial name for the tape was ‘2009’ (shoutout my bradda Pretty V) that being the year my Ole boy passed, it completely changed my life,” he explains. “Same way I feel this album will, in a much more positive light. Death sucks but we gotta learn to celebrate it and send our loved ones off properly with love. That’s all I’m doing with this music, still tryna have fun and carry my Ole boy’s name and legacy on to the furthest extent despite the ‘reality’ of the situation.

The first single is “mumbleman,” a short-but-sweet hazy rap song with slurred raps that sound consistent with that song title. Check out the song and its video (directed by Nicholas Stafford Briggs and Niontay) below.

Niontay also opens part of MIKE’s extensive tour (but not the NYC show). All dates are listed below as well.

MIKE also has his own new song, “Dolemite,” featuring Lunchbox and produced by Tony Seltzer and ivvys. It doesn’t appear to have been officially released by MIKE but video director Jelani Miller put it out and you can check that out below too.
