AMSTERDAM – Hubby eSIM and DERTOUR Group are joining forces to offer travellers the possibility to add mobile data when booking their holiday packages with Exim Tours and Fischer, the group’s brands in the Czech Republic. This new feature will soon be available for the customers of both companies in other countries such as Slovakia, Poland, and Hungary.

The initiative responds to a frequent challenge faced by travellers visiting destinations outside their countries or regions, where roaming charges for Internet access are costly. With Hubby’s eSIMs now available as an add-on, customers booking with Exim Tours and Fischer are able to enjoy a reliable, easy-to-use, and affordable Internet connection during their trip, using their regular mobile numbers. When they book their trips, Exim Tours and Fischer customers can add 3GB or 5GB eSIM to their packages, which they can share with their fellow travellers. Additionally, Hubby’s eSIMs are simple to install through an app, and they offer connectivity at local rates, which are 95% cheaper than roaming prices.

“We have seen great interest from our customers since the launch,” says Jan Bezděk, Head of Communications at DERTOUR Group Eastern Europe. “Those who have already booked Hubby’s eSIMs for their trips have shared very positive feedback. It is clear that this feature improves their overall travel experience.”

This partnership is just the start of a wider rollout across Central Europe as Hubby eSIM and DERTOUR Group are now working together to offer this solution to more travelers in the region in the coming months.

“Partnering with DERTOUR Group has allowed us to reach travellers at scale and support them where they need it most: on the ground, abroad,” explains Boris Bijlstra, Co-founder of Hubby eSIM. “It is great to leverage established brands in innovative ways, we are happy with the success we are seeing in the Czech Republic and are looking forward to expanding our mobile data packages across more countries with DERTOUR.”

Demand for data services while travelling is boosting, with 96% of travellers considering a reliable Internet connection during their trip as essential. Including mobile data as part of the tour operators and travel agencies offer rounds off the travel package and enhances customer experience.
