Fans react as final Glastonbury 2025 tickets sell out in 19 minutes: “Death, taxes and two green bars”

Glastonbury 2025 is officially sold out after the final tickets were taken in just 19 minutes during the re-sale this morning (April 27).

The general admission re-sale went live at 9am, when a “very limited” number of final tickets for this year’s Worthy Farm festival – those that were returned or the original buyers had not paid the balance for – became available.

The official Glastonbury X account confirmed that they were sold out at 9:19am. “On a morning of incredible demand, all of the tickets in today’s resale have now been sold,” they wrote. “Thank you to everyone who bought one, and sorry to those who missed out.”

Glastonbury introduced a new queuing system for tickets this year, meaning that rather than needing to constantly hit refresh to access the booking page, everyone is randomly assigned a place in a queue once sales begin. Your place in the queue is symbolised by the number of green bars that appear on the screen – with many finding themselves stuck on exactly two bars for excruciatingly long periods.

On Thursday, the tickets with coach packages went on re-sale and sold out in 31 minutes, with many complaining about the queuing experience and longing for the old ticket-buying system to return.
