Eau Splendide features raspberry, rose geranium and powdery iris notes

Chanel has unveiled Chance Eau Splendide, the newest addition to its Chance fragrance line. The launch marks the fifth major release in the collection.

Chance Eau Splendide is available in 50ml and 100ml formats across Chanel’s fragrance distribution network, including global travel retail.

Created by in-house Perfumer Olivier Polge, the fruity-floral composition opens with a vibrant raspberry accord layered with crisp fruit, rose and violet.

At its heart is rose geranium – partly cultivated in Chanel’s fields in Grasse – adding a natural floral depth. The base features white musk and cedar, enriched by powdery iris.

The eau de parfum is housed in the signature round Chance flacon in a lilac hue.

The colour introduces a new dimension to the existing palette of orange, green, pink and peach and is intended to evoke mystery and rebellious energy.

“Each Chance fragrance is unique, but they all express the same state of mind” – Perfumer Olivier Polge

Polge commented, “The original idea behind Chance was a state of mind that we interpreted in very different styles. Each Chance fragrance is unique, but they all express the same state of mind.

“There is no common composition, but something along the lines of a feeling and an emotion that each fragrance expresses – something very lively and very direct.”

Accompanying the launch is a global campaign starring Belgian singer-songwriter Angèle, a Chanel ambassador since 2020.

Angèle performs the specially composed track A Little More in a campaign film directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet, known for directing the movie Amélie.

Known for her influence in French-language pop music, Angèle has notably collaborated with artists Dua Lipa and rapper Damso and performed during the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics Games.

Set in a surrealist hall of mirrors, the campaign plays on the themes of spontaneity and seizing the moment – central to the Chance identity. ✈
